There is a mantra that I notice myself going back to time and time again... "Happiness is a choice I make". It seems to come up during times that are tough, times that feel out of control or just simply unbalanced. Through the circumstances we experience we can either respond from a place of happiness, love, kindness and gratitude or FEAR [eek!].
I have made a commitment to myself throughout the month of September to choose happiness, when I notice myself reverting to fear. I'd love for you to join!
Sounds easy, right? Not completely. We love to revert to habit, old patterns and that which is comfortable. New patterns and habits are picked up within 21 days on average, which is why it doesn't happen overnight - commit to yourself. When you notice negative thoughts towards yourself or others, when you recognize yourself falling into defensive mode or even speaking from negativity - pause and repeat to yourself "Happiness is a choice I make".
