That’s right, learning to ski. I have lived in Colorado on again, off again for 8+ years and have never been skiing. My dad used to take me to the hills of Ohio, growing up, but I probably haven’t been back on skis in over 25 years. Admittedly, I have been intimidated by those mountains to the west we call the Rockies, during the winter season. Also, pregnancy and learning to ski isn’t typically advised, but that’s behind us. Oh but most importantly - it’s freaking scary to learn how to do something new and athletic at the age of 36. But I’m doing it. Tonight. (thanks snöbahn for making this super accessible) G and I committed to learning how to ski, as a family so a) my sons don’t get to their late-30s and find themselves in this same situation and b) to get over our fear of it to see if it’s something we really enjoy. So now I’m really curious as to why I have been so nervous about this whole thing. It’s really humbling and vulnerable to try something new. And while I love trying new things, this has felt larger than life at times. So here’s to hoping it all goes well! And if this is any motivation to jump into something that you’ve been afraid of or avoiding, maybe today’s the day for you too! Here’s to new adventures 2022 - I see you. xo Bailey I picked up my 2021 board this past week to really dive into it. My goodness, isn’t it amazing what we can create with the power of intention? I sure think so!
I know, I know. A lot feels uncertain right now. You are certainly not alone in that. But if you’re feeling even a little curious about getting into visualization-mode for the year ahead, this will not disappoint.
